Default coilover fitment with xbrace

i know carlabs put a cutout on the strut tops for the xbrace for use of coilovers, but which ones really do fit?
when the time comes, i want some good time attack oriented coilovers.
can't use any electronic damping ones since the xbrace tops are in the way.
thanks!

Pretty much anything other than the ones with electronic damping should fit. But none of the coilovers that are available with electronic damping are what I would consider "good time attack oriented coilovers" anyways

Good luck getting any to fit without doing this:

A little sneak peek at something coming soon to TiC

Really not happy with the design of that product for the money.

Looks like the BC coilovers use an unusually large adjuster.

Would the x-brace be a problem with the RCE T 2's?

Definitely shouldn't be, you just need to get a small allen key in there.

they fit my ohlins flags just fine.

be sure to install the adjuster to the strut before installing the strut to the car. (at least for mine, whose adjusters are wider at the bottom than the top opening of the x-brace.)

Man, I understand your frustration after paying almost $500 for that piece. However, I would've not cut that piece out because it looks like a key portion that helps the stiffness. Could've you machined the adjuster knob a tad down?? In any case, that sucks man, I would've been blowin' up.

Yeah, I was pretty p1ssed and the problem was I didn't have much time, I ended up getting 1 hour of sleep before the race the next morning because i was up for so long the night and morning before working on those strut tops trying to get them to work.

the material for the adjusters wasn't thick enough to trim down enough to create clearance, so it really had to be the brace that got cut.

luckily, the stiffness of the piece really wasn't diminished too much because it doesn't touch any of the mounting points. I've also noticed no bending or wear on the pieces either.

Overall, I am really displeased with the part for the money spent, and I would highly advise people to only buy them used since I wouldn't pay over $300 for one again with my experiences.

You mean lb/in? The standard spring rates are 500 front, 400 rear but custom rates are available.

My KW V3's fit just fine so I imagine the T2's will as well.
