Default Grinding Sound after installed Swift Sport Springs

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if any of you had this problem. After i had my Swift springs installed i get a grinding sound when i turn the wheel at low speeds. It appears that the spring is twisting inside the housing when the wheel is turning which creates this sound. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks,

-Knight

Sounds like one of two problems -

1) the upper spring perch is not put back on correctly. there are three holes in the edge of the perch. The middle one is to be lined up with the centerline of the clevis.

2) There is a conical washer that sits betwen the upper perch and the tophat. That was either missed during the install or was installed upside down.

Who did the install?

Check also to make sure you don't have the inside of the tire rubbing through the plastic fender liner. I had a grinding sound on turns and it was the inside of my Azenis rubbed thru the liner and on metal!

(this would be turning the wheel while rolling at or near lock - if noise only present at rest and turning wheel-go with TIC comments above)
