Anyway If he wants a drop I would say RCE but Then they are kind of expensive (Totally worth it in my opinion). Maybe you should buy used ones but i'm bias since I have a set for Sale (Brand new v2 front springs pair + Old front plus old rear which didn't change in v2)

If not try JDM Pink and if you need a bit of an extra drop later on when you get a bit more money go with a lowering Camber Plate from RCE (you would get the advantage of awesome camber which helps a lot...)

I was on budget too and picked up used set (GF210) from one of the members here for a great price. I am happy with the drop and the handling. For the price I paid, u cant beat that.

You should be safe with stock shocks if you don't lower your car more than an inch.
