Default swaybar questions

I'm new to autox, planning to install a frontsway bar (no rear yet unless anyone has a particular reason I should so that I can stay in stock class) and wanted to know if endlinks are a must and if I put Whiteline 27-29 in front do I have to do anything to my springs? I have a stock 04 STI. Also, I know there are other threads on this but before I get flamed, the answers vary a lot so I wanted to try and find a definite answer for these questions:

1. What's a good front sway size so that I don't make daily driving unbearable while still being good for autox.

2. Max camber settings on stock 04 setup and how much can I put without having messed up wear for daily driving (since I'll be doing that much more than the wear I put on for autox)

Thanks in advance

1. Go with the 27-29mm Whiteline front bar and be merry. I have one on my 06 and had the same one on my 04 WRX. In neither situation do I feel like it has degraded my daily driver comfort.

2. If you want to stay in stock class, you can't touch your springs.

3. Endlinks are not necessary. I am using stock endlinks with my front bar and they are holding up just fine. I had Kartboy endlinks all around on my WRX and don't feel like I'm losing anything by using the stock ones on my STi.

4. Assuming stock autox rules, max out your front negative camber using stock adjustments. On the 04's you should be able to get about -1.5 degrees. ZERO toe all around and you will have no additional wear for your daily driving duties. On my WRX I ran close to -3.0 degrees daily with no abnormal wear. Toe was zero.

I wish that were true. I'm setup with zero toe all around and my rear tires wear the innermost 1 inch or so very quickly -- much faster than the rest of the tire. I'm through the inner wear bars already, otherwise the rest of the tire would probably go 30K more miles .

Try cutting your front bumpstops before making any other changes to the suspension.

How hard is it to cut the bumpstops?
