Default Re: How to get more front grip?

ALK installed, alignment done with the plates and bolts maxed out at -2 degrees. I'm going to get the car cornerweighted since i'm not convinced that my ride height is correct since the negative camber is so low. The ALK and extra camber combined with the coilovers has raised teh ceiling of my setup astronomically over the springs.

Entry understeer has alot more to do with driving technique, shock tuning, and the fact it's an AWD car. AWD cars *LOVE* to go slow in and power out. If you go in too hot, no matter what you do it's going to understeer. The swaybars and spring rates help a little more with steady state cornering. If it's turn in understeer you're worried about it comes from over loading or under-loading the front tires. Sqeeze the brakes, load the front, and ease off as you turn in and tri-pod your ways around back on the gas just a hair before track out to take out any lag in the system. I've driven stock STi's and can get the tail out just a bit like that. Mine just has a home made 29mm front sway, an alignment, and I've learned to work either end with the help of drivers much more experienced than I. Hope that helps, Good luck

If you're autocrossing or doing track days I get the best grip from the bridgestones at 42psi hot.
