![]() no problem! the creak noise is most definitely from the stiffness i've added to the rear of the car. what used to be a window tapping noise is now that creak. with the music on, i don't even hear it though, so totally unrelated to the coilovers. Josh is the man if you want to get these, hands down great bang for the buck. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad.

Perhaps someone can compare the two from a subjective, first hand experience with each?

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (51) | E-36 m3 or even e-46...definitely leaves a bit on the table as its a bmw so comfort over extreme handling, definitely well balanced cars and handle well at the limits. im not sure how you can compare an awd car to a rear wheel drive car. i mean my buddies e-36 M Shoe (clown mobile) with H&R coilovers was stiff...Much stiffer then the BC's...on anywhere from 15 clicks through full soft. if you crank down the bc's to a stiffer setting you will feel it. all and all I just drove 400 miles today with a passenger...we were comfortable, the car handled nicely. you can find a nice balance between comfort and all out performance. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 Trader Rating: (7) | Took them to DC this past weekend. Last time I was in DC, I was running swift springs with cut bumpstops on the stock struts and hated it. The roads there are really bad in some parts. I had the BCs at full soft and my friend complained that the car would make him sick on long drives because it was moving up and down so much. I had been noticing this, but knew that with the all season tires on the car now, I was going to stiffen up the coilovers anyway. I turned them to 5 clicks from full soft and he then said much better, but I didn't like it--I noticed that while they would absorb the deep bumps on the compression stroke better and the car wouldn't roll up and down as much as before, the rebound was stronger than I'd prefer. It seems that once you get deep into the travel (which I rarely do back home), the stiff springs and valving work against comfort. I could tell that I was hitting the bump stops over some of these roads, to give you an idea of how much travel was being used to get this resulting ride quality. Not sure what to think after that. I ended up parking the car and taking a minivan because I didn't like the ride quality over those roads. This is a first for these coilovers for me. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (51) | I've heard some talk of more adjustability and higher performance setups coming out...I think bc is done with the tein level products (competing) and going to set its targets on higher level products to take away some of those sales...cool by me. |

Double adjustability with more strut travel would be awesome.
