boostedsti06 reminded me of an update to post:

Found the bounciness in these coilovers over this past weekend. It seems that if there are closely spaced ridges in the road in succession, it causes the car to bounce, come down, bounce, come down. the bounce is more controlled than the stock struts, so I'm not complaining, but its there on these type of roads.

On big dips, the car will go down then come back up quickly, which leads me to think about the rebound valving.

Over the worst highways, the car rides closer to a stock sti than a bilstein-equipped car, BUT considering price point and the rarity of such situations, I'm hardly upset. I'm still on stock seats too, thinking of modding those to see how much of the little amount of bounce there is on the highway over these bumps is coming from the seat.

I haven't played with the damper stiffness beyond 15 around town. 5 is keeping me happy on the highway and on the bad roads down here.

Update:

The BCs have been taking the potholes like a champ and I'm enjoying my commute to work. I've noticed them starting to loosen up, so I'm going to bump the level up from 5 from soft to 10 from soft. I have clunk in the back of the car. I checked the strut tops and everything back there is tight. I'll check the lockrings next. It isn't annoying enough to me to care though.

I had my first autox today with them. The lot was extremely bumpy so after running them at full hard, I backed them off to 25 up front and 27 rear. I used this combination and finished first place in BSP.

I got BC for a while and I really love it even I still on the stock sway bar. I don't have any steering problem at all. But I gonna add some white line later for the best suspension.

Excellent! I've been eyeing these for a while, and talk to Josh frequently about them. I'm still not decided, and look forward to future updates .

Stephisto, after your power problem is taken care of im sure you'll like them...i have a feeling that when the whiteline truck gets here and i add all the whiteline parts + (these coilovers are already pre-installed) i'll let you take my car for a ride and you tell me what you think

since afterall...its the demo car

Never updated from here:

I'm now nearing 3k miles on these with an autox, highway trip to Richmond, daily grinds to work, and a few back country drives under my belt.

I measured the rear droop travel of these coilovers awhile back and got 2.2", which is pretty surprising and not too shabby. It explains why i haven't 3 wheeled much around town or autoxing.

I noticed the front was bouncy over certain roads like I described above...then I turned off my radio and heard the coil springs moving around. Duh.

I had set the lockrings hand tight last time and from all the vibrations, they worked a little loose, allowing the spring to move down the shaft a little and unload itself. I used the supplied spanner wrenches and solved that problem quickly.

Just like that, the car then handled the exact same strips on the highway without flinching or bouncing. I hear bumps now and don't feel them. I'm still at setting 5 out of the 30 on the street and these are still nearly silent. You can hear the coils in the back, but I've already confirmed that they are still preloaded just fine, so I'm guessing they might be binding? I highly doubt it, but I'll have to check. I'm playing with the idea of swift springs on these after reading through the TiC thread, but i haven't seen much of a reason to spend money on improving these.

The threads and lockrings were covered in grit (brake dust maybe?), but that didn't affect their operation. The adjusters all still click at each setting and the ride is still smooth and firm. i couldn't ask for more for $1,000.

Damn it man! I've been looking at these for a couple months. I'm debating between BC Coilovers/Powder Coating another pair of BBS wheels/MadDad Headers/ Gauges .. Oh man

Any pics of the car with these coilovers?

I'd like to see how they perform in the winter and in the deep snow.
