Theres something im not understanding here... ive got these coilovers on my 06 STI, but along with these coilovers, i have 24-27mm front and rear whiteline sways and i 3 wheel up curbs and ramps, to my understanding this is normal right ? Since most of the weight of the car shifts to the side with more load when going up driveways and such right ? I dont think im 3 wheeling when cornering, how can u measure the droop travel while the cars on the ground ?

you has no droop.

you can't measure droop travel when the car is on the ground.

easiest way is to go to a lift all 4 wheels off the ground.

and measure.

and just b/c 3 wheeling is "normal" doesn't mean it's right.

Update:

I'm getting noise from the rear of the car over medium bumps. It's sort of a clunking noise, but not like strut clunk. I'm going to go and check to make sure things are tight, the noise isn't pronounced or loud, but worth checking up on. I do not expect any coilover to be silent. It may very well be the rear springs compressing.

Just wanted to let you know that the unsprung weight would only be half the weight of the dampers, the tops are mounted to the sprung part of the car(the chassis) and the other half is mounted to the unsprung part of the car(the hubs).

Congrats on the new suspension. Get it aligned/balanced as soon as possible. You won't believe how much better it will handle. Plus it will save your tires(I already made that $700 mistake)

Thanks for explaining that, good to know

I'm loving these coilovers. I need to retighten them a bit, but they've been performing way beyond my expectations. I'll be getting an alignment done next weekend as well as putting on the ALK.

Did anyone figure out which dyno plot is the front and which is the rear. Did anyone find out what damper setting the plots are based on?

Everyone should check out the pics of the adjustment knows almost rubbing the axles.

I would consider these but I think I need to wait and see what happens to the people who use them for autocross. How long do they last between rebuilds and how much of an issue this axle proximity thing is?

sti robot - On the Nasioc thread, the guys with the axle proximity problem said that they were trying to 'slam' their cars. I didn't read very closely so you may want to double check that.

I don't have axle proximity problems with mine set an inch lower than stock ride height, FWIW. It's not close, either.

These sound like a great coil-over! How is the rust protection on these and I think we will only see with time about rebuilds. Keep posting stuff and I have subscribed becuase these are on my list of coil-overs to consider!

I appreciate the truthful remarks and review. Keep it up!

I guess it wouldn't matter to me then. I'm not going for a slammed ride (yo!). I'd be going for handling + adjustability.

Yeah, same here. They're pretty easy to adjust too. Still very happy overall with this purchase. Time will tell about rebuilds.

hey all. i'm the dude with the shock sleeve/axel problem on nasioc. no one is trying to slam the car (yo!). i noticed that while lowering the car, one side does not allow me to go to a certain point (shock sleeve hits axel boot with minimal drop). while i'm ok with all the other corners (i can "slam" to the ground if i want).

i also have some minimal clunking (typical coilover noise) but over all i am pleased. however, i am trying to figure out the prob that i have. perhaps, controll arms, or something is bent in that area.
