IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I'm not sure if this is normal, but then again I bought the car with 11000 miles on it. Lately it feels like the lay of the road has a big impact on the steering wheel feel. I mean, different little patches, or slopes on the road have influence on the car, and can be felt in the wheel. Might sound stupid, but I mean... the road seems like it is having more control over the car that I'd like. Again, I'm not totally sure if this is normal, or if I need something adjusted. My suspension is all stock for now. Upgrading next month. Thanks! This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

And if you plan on modding you're suspension it will only increse in degree!.Sway bars will make you feel the road input more, same with springs/coilovers.. Their geared more towards ideal road situations exm.(track)..They like to fight the road rather than to contour to it.. I really dont mind it, and enjoy it because it keeps me on my toe's at all times. |

You're cruising up to a stop (at a light, sign, intersection, whatever) and about twenty feet from a complete stop, the wheel suddenly wants to turn hard left or right. Tramlining. Tires play a big part in this, too, as I noticed it was much less prevalent on my winter tires than it is on my summers. Lesson: Always keep a grip on the wheel, or else the STi will drive YOU. |

The stock alignment specs are vague and mine actually came with POSITIVE camber from the factory on one front wheel, what a joke. You'll fall in love all over again after a good alignment. | |
