IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Just bought myself one of these: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...TOOL&ihtoken=1 basically its a digital/zeroing level which equates to a digital camber gauge Oh, and there is an extra 15% off at sears this week...some brown bag special or something. This is where I got the idea: http://www.sr20forum.com/technical-i...ignment-5.html This plus nick's toe/thrust string method could be your complete alignment setup. Also, for sh!ts and giggles you could go check it when you are done at firestone (they have some freebee check that expires tomorrow...but a lot of other places will give you a free check) This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Spec C Club | That is indeed interesting. It would be awesome if it is reasonably accurate, so we can do our own alignments. It is always frustrating to work with a shop that just doesn't try hard enough to get perfect numbers. |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | For camber this is close enough, I believe. I used the setup and got 1.5/1.4 in the front...which is ok. |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | The metal bar is 18 inches. (04 sti stock bbs's aren't 18 inches but for some reason from edge or rim to edge of rim is about 18in??) You don't want it resting on the tire...it will bulge out unevenly on the top and bottom and throw the measurement off. If the face of your wheel is convex (center or spokes come out of the face/plane of the wheel) you will need something to raise the bar/level away from the face. Remember that it has to be perfectly parallel from the face of the wheel when place so the "spacers" must be exactly the same size. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
