Default tons of understeer

my car has severe understeer all of a sudden. it started after my BBS wheels were repaired and repainted after the morons at the dealership scuffed up all four wheels changing to winter tires.

now they're back on, they look fine but the car just can't turn into the corner! any ideas?

check tire pressure? Alignment?

And I am not sure what you mean by car understeer and just cannot turn into the corner. I mean, how fast driving into the corner?

the speed is the same as im used to. driving on the same roads and corners that I've done in the past, the car just does not feel the same, not as stable and always goes wide.

While since the tires were removed and remounted, check the tire pressures. Chances are they're either very over-inflated or very under-inflated.

It's unlikely that you have any alignment problems caused by the shop that repaired the wheels.

Another thing to check is whether they have the tires mounted on the correct side of the car or on the wheels correctly. It's possible they're mounted the tires inside-out on the wheels. They might change the amount of grip you're used to on the front end.

Are they balanced properly? Does the understeer come the same in both direction?

that could be the difference youre feeling.. winter tires will not nearly have as good of turn in feeling as the stock re070's

36/30 is fine (won't promote understeer). I run 38/35, but my suspension is nowhere near stock and I'm running Azenis.

oh alright, sorry i misunderstood. did you by chance have the car aligned with the winter tires on and then not align it again once you swapped back to the re070's? different diameter tires could affect the alignment slightly enough to make a noticeable difference if the diameter is changed... trying to think of possibilities...

How does the rubber look/feel on the tires? Maybe something they did effected the compound making it harder. Does it do it turning both ways?
