So has anyone else had the pleasure of upgrading the steering rack bushings? Did mine tonight, took about 2 hrs total. For anyone trying this, do yourself a favor and remove the plastic underbody tray first, then remove the steel cross brace / jacking plate (look underneath, you'll see what I mean). I had to take these off in the end to get the old bushings off, and if I did it up front I would have saved at least 30 min. The passenger side is fairly easy, driver side is a battle with the power steering lines (need to bend them out of the way). Have fun...

I did mine. I spent hours fighting with the old ones to get them out and then the new ones to get them in! Probably should have just taken the tray and cross member off. Makes a nice difference though :-)

What difference do you exactly get?

Because when i had a chance to go test drive the EVO, the steering was the best, like it STi, still awesome steering, wasn't as responsive. Do you think that the whiteline bushings will make it more responsive?

Quite honestly, I don't notice any difference with street driving. Maybe a track day would reveal more, but it wouldn't be Evo-like. The reason is the Evo has a much quicker ratio, and that is much more apparent than the bushings. I did the swap because it was a cheap mod that can't hurt-

Anyone have some part numbers for me on the WhiteLine steering rack
bushing kit ? I'm thinking of doing it. Sources for it in Canada ?

Well worth the install PITA and the $30 bucks. My butt dyno can easily tell the difference on daily driving.

Mine came in the other day, unfortunatley I won't be able to put them on this weekend (auto-X day). But they are going on next weekend, along with the Kartboy rear diff. bushings.
