Default Aftermarket top mount intercooler

well, i went to the dealer to have them take a look at my rear struts.
i don't believe they looked at them, because they said the noise is coming from my perrin sb hitting the exhaust. there is approx 1" of gap when the car is still and when it moves around, the bar rotates and clunks against the muffler.
the svc tech said the bar had some wear on the paint, and the muffler looked like it had similair markings.

i went to lowe's to but a piece of pipe insulation and wrapped it on the bar. now when i repeat the same driving conditions, i get the noise but not as harsh.
so i'm led to believe that the bar is the cause of the prob.

my question now is: will purchasing perrin's sti spec endlinks help with this situation? i.e., are they the correct length to offset the longer hd sway bar mounts?
or will i be better off just going with the poltec endlinks which are adjustable?

Default WTB: factory air intake

The noise is most likely not the RSB hitting the exhaust, but the RSB ends hitting the end-link brackets on the trailing links.

LOL, hmmm... a Vespa

I really don't have answer for this at this time frankly. This is the issue that is related to that famous "flipping" problem. We are working with Cusco, Poltec, Z1 Performance, etc. to find a resolution. I think what we will be doing, not to directly resolve this issue, but to slightly change the chassis balance on our car, is actually take the rear bar out and put 50 to 100 lbs/in. more springs on the rear. But that is not definite at this time.

You should be glad that you are getting the clunks, they mean that your bar will not flip as long as the clunks are there

so as far as rsb's are concerned we have various probs:
perrin: hd mounts are too long
cusco: has issues with the bar "walking" to one side or another

how are the hotchkis setups? i see they come with everything from mounts to bushings to endlinks?

Believe me the issue is not a Cusco issue. The issue is installation and end-link mounting bracket design that is located upwards on the trailing links. This will not be an easy solution.

However, I believe - but cannot substantiate at this time - that Cobb and Hotchkis bars will either not exhibit this or very little of it. But testing is just too extensive for us to perform with all different configurations of springs, coilovers, etc.

We just need some patience and see if there is a cost-effective solution. We are working on it...

i saw in a post on nasioc, that poltec had made a hd mounting bracket that the endlinks attach to.
i wonder if this is what's needed?
