IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 Trader Rating: (7) | bump. due to my contract at my job possibly not being renewed in 2 months, i had to cancel my T2 order at RaceComp, but wanted to get away from the stock struts without adding too much debt. I decided to experiment with the non-inverted BC coilovers after reading a bunch of owners reviews and a review on i-club of these being compared to Robbi-Spec KW V3's on Sebring's race track (they came within 2-3 seconds with a less aggressive alignment). I paid very little for these considering the cost of camber plates and pillowballs these days. I don't expect much, but curiousity killed the cat. I've gotten a wink when asked if these were improved/rebadged Tein Flexes or containing Tein or Cusco parts. They're built in the same factory at least. The valving will be sub-par, but you've got a very, very tough sell if you're going to try to convince me that the stock KYB junk is any better. I've been looking for a place to get these dynoed locally, but the closest I've found was a place in Georgia. If anyone knows of a place near southeastern PA, let me know and I'll get it done. In the meantime, I'll be receiving these in the mail today for half the cost of the T2's (which I still really wish I could have swung for in good conscience with my impending unemployment) and will be putting them to the test on the horrible roads around here, autocross events in the Philly region, and at Pocono. At the very least, I'll be keeping the camber plates. I'd like to also get the PSS-9's after these for another comparison, then go with the T2's for the final verdict. I will not claim any miracles with these, but I also don't believe these will be as awful as people think if they're running within 2-3 seconds at Sebring of a fully prepped V3 setup.Review coming... IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 Trader Rating: (7) | for the OP: so far so good on mine. dramatic change in ride quality over the stock struts. i can tell the higher spring rate over the biggest of bumps and road irregulaties sometimes cause the car to wobble, but seriously...compared to the stock struts...haha...yeah..cmon. haha if you can take THOSE...i think a pogo stick would be more enjoyable to drive on. |
