Wow, this sounds like a great option for me. My car is a daily driver with like one or 2 trips to the track a year. I just rolled over 72K on my car and I think it's time to do the struts.

Did you have to order up rear camber bolts. I would most likely use the stock tophats in the rear (unless i have a little extra cash).

Do you have and specs on how to best set them up, how did you measure to make sure they were all equal in height before installing them. What did you use for aliegnment specs.

I used the stock bolts in the rear, but I am thinking about getting a set of camber bolts to use so I can adjust the rear camber. My current alignment settings are -1.8/-1.8 front camber and -1.8/-2.1 rear camber. I'd like to get the rear camber down to -1.5 on each side. I'm running 0 toe in the front and about an 1/8" toe out in the rear. I'll move the front plates when I autox to -2.4 on each side and that will also give me a little toe out to help with turn in.

As for ride height, I measured from the center of the top mounting hole on the mounting brackets to the top of the spring perch before I installed them, then made adjustments after the install. I'm at about 14"/13.5" f/r from the center of the hub to the wheel arch. I'm running them on the softest settings on the street and will be testing some of the stiffer settings at an autocross next week.

Well, evidently 04 pss9's aren't that great fitting on 04s.

We put the rears on today on WE_R_ND's car, and they don't fit, the wheel (17x8 +48 rota boost with stock RE070s) contact the helper springs, and locking collars. So we took them back off. We put a set of 05s on, which fit, but still hardly any clearance.

So these do not come with camber plates for adjusting the front?

Would these work on an 07 STI with 17x8.5 rims and 255/40/17s? The fitment issue noted above is for an 04 which is admittedly different but does anyone know if it would be a problem?

Also, where did the 440/380 spring rate information come from? I can't find it from Bilstein anywhere.

05 is a little close too IMO.

If you go to low, 245s with the BBSs can rub on the locking collars and springs.

I got the spring rate information from this thread, http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...highlight=pss9. Although it refrences the PSS9's for the '04, the part numbers stamped on the springs are the same as the sets for the '05-'07, so I'm assuming the rates are the same. I'm running 235/40/18s on 18x8.5 rims and am not having any issues with clearance in the rear. The '04s should work as well if you remove the helper spring.

I don't care about lowering the car for any appearance reasons and I have no problems adequately fitting the rims and tires on my stock suspension. So, I would only see an issue if the struts themselves were located/sized differently.

I currently have 255/40-17 on my OEM BBS and they fit fine.

Seeing your earlier post that's with the PSS-9s, right? Do they come with camber plates? I'm also in San Diego, any chance you're going tothe auto-x this weekend? I'd like to see the car and get a ride if I could (not in the auto-x, but in general). I'll be at the auto-x practice on Saturday.

I really don't understand that. Maybe us Iowans just got screwed?

with oem BBS and 245 re01r's it was very close to contact (MY05), we had to raise it up all the way, as far as it would go, and he had camber plates pretty much maxed out, and it was still to close to my liking, wider wheels with fairly equal offset and wider tires would not work. He is easily looking at a sub 40mm offset 9" wheel, then you run into the fenders.

Yes, I have the PSS-9. I won't be at the autocross, but ya I'll give you a ride. PM me.
