IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Parts are in! With a lift and 3 guys, the springs and camber plates took us about an hour and a half...then we decided to take on the Anti Lift Kit. Not a horrible part to install, especially with a lift, but due to a few issues, this took us probably 2-3 hours when it should have been a 1 hour project. We weren't able to do a much alignment work, but some to make sure that camber and toe were relatively sane...and until I can get someone to do an alignment. I am really amazed at how well this car handles now. I can't give a very good review until I really go out and beat on it. But, I can say that I couldn't illicit the bobblehead effect on roads that usually do the trick, but the car also feels much stiffer when in an aggressive turn. I kind of wish I had done the springs and ALK in parts so that I could give an assessment of both...oh well, it feels a lot better. The Drop: The camber: Needs alignment, but I'm liking the ability to change this...easy to do as well. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

Like I said, it wasn't a horrible part to install, but I also had access to a lift...which definately helped. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Got them, thanks a ton. Everyone helping me on this project loved the camber plates and the ride height after everything was installed. Camber plates are nice quality and easy to adjust. A few even commented that they wanted an STi so they could do some of this stuff. |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | We nearly cross threaded one of the bolts going into the aluminum control arm. For those saying, "I don't think you have to remove those bolts" you are correct. I won't get into why we did this, but it wasn't necessary, and we almost payed for it. If you stick to the instructions, the install is actually quite easy. Because we had a lift, I didn't even think loosening or torqueing the ALK was as bad as some say (184 ft-lbs for mount to chassis bolts). |
