Default cut bumpstops for swift springs?

Hey guys I'm installing swift springs on my 06 STI, my question is for those of you that have these springs do I need to cut the bumpstops? I know this is a highly debated topic and I may not get conclusive results, but for those that have these springs did you cut them or leave them. Thanks alot.

Mike

Yes. In fact, I believe there are instructions for doing so in the box.

04s have more suspension travel before hitting the bumpstops than the 05+ do.

I am about to cut my "bump stops" (or replace them) ie jounce bumpers on stock springs after reading this: All lowering springs (and even stock springs) ride on the bump stops!.

If your gonna go through the trouble of installing springs you might as well cut the stops while you're in there.

The user that created that thread (stretch) has a link to his "information cache" in his sig. In that link there is another link referring to the jounce bumpers that I am using. You can also search for a thread titled "Thanks Stretch (was Before I replace my bumpstops I have a couple ?'s)". For the ~$20 shipped for the bumpers I am using I fully and 100% recommend them. So far that is maybe the single best modification I have done and my mods include a TiC super shift kit, whiteline f&r sways, and kartboy rear endlinks. These are all highly regarded modifications, but this $20 part is possibly more rewarding than any other single part.

My $.02

Or you could purchase the shorter Prodrive bumpstops...like I did.
