IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | I've seen a video where Spoon Sports did this for their race cars with excellent results. I don't remember, but it was either a Honda Fit, Civic Type-R, or S2000. Definitely interesting if nothing else. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2003 Trader Rating: (1) | there are no shortcuts. i swear i could sell some of you guys those x-ray glasses in the back of mad magazine. here's my recipe for a chassis so stiff you'll swear off the viagra: gt spec subframe brace set gt spec ladder brace gt spec fender braces an 8 point or better yet, 12 point custom chromoly roll cage. weld it in, don't bolt it in. if youre willing to add 30 lbs for the stiffening it offers, do your cage like we did. we bypassed the floor completely and welded two 2"x2" tubular steel rails along the rocker panels. the upper chromoly cage is welded directly to them. search "nhra rules" for the layout or pm me. the next round will finish the cage with a top hope. it's going to be a pia to move the fuse box on the left side to accomodate the front support. you can add some seam welding if you want but i'm not sure its necessary. whatever you do, don't count on that stuff. |

| Banned | I applied it to the hollow member on my 02WRX that goes along the top of the trunk between the strut towers. It made it sound deader but did nothing otherwise. You have to be VERY careful how much of this you apply, as it's not without weight and it definitely has the ability to balloon body panels if you use too much. 300Z guys used to use this stuff to debateable results.
