Default Steering is slower after ALK?

Is it just me or is the steering slower when you have an ALK? I feel like my turns require more steering input than before. It makes me want to buy a quick rack but I can't afford it.

Increasing caster does make the tires want to "stand-up" or go straight. So it does take more effort to turn the wheel. That "firmness" is one of the "desirable" traits that people seem to want.

Other than that, what differences can you tell with your ALK installed?

Did you get an alignment?

If you didnt...the steering feels numb because you have toe-out in the front.

Yeah I got an alignment after and it the steering still feels slower.
0 toe all around
Front: -1.25 (the most I could get with stock hardware)
Rear: -1.50
Caster: +5.0

I felt a bigger difference in handling after the alignment than with the ALK. Before I bought the ALK I was thinking about getting camber plates instead. Before my most recent alignment I only had -0.8 camber up front. When I went to -1.25 there was a HUGE difference! If I could get camber plates and go to -2.0 or so up front, I think I would really like that.

I do notice that sharp turns feel more stable up front with the ALK. I plan to track my car soon so I should have a better review later. The front end feels more muted and there is less feedback. I actually think the ride is better with the ALK (I have the sport version).
