IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | There's one phenomenon I can't quite explain since I've made these changes. This isn't a big deal for anything but doing powersliding but I'm still curious. For some reason, with the previous setup I could get the car to do a 1st gear powerslide very smoothly. But now when I try the same thing the car kinda hops and skips as it rotates and then takes off. It doesn't feel smooth at all and can be a little harder to predict and position the car when doing this. I can't figure out if this is differential related or suspension related. The only things I changed are the suspension and the tires. I had Falken RT-615's in 245/45-17 and now I have Bridgestone RE-01R's in the same size. Anyone experience anything quite like this? |

The car didn't do this either in stock form or with the RCE springs. I switched to the new suspension and the Bridgestone's at the same time so it's hard to know which one it is. But I'm leaning towards the tires as the cause as well. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Well I was running them soft at first when I first noticed this. Right now I'm running almost as stiff as I can and still have the same problem. I also thought it may have something to do with low tire pressures. But right now I'm running 42 psi front / 40 psi rear because that's how I had it set for the race last Sunday... and again, no difference. |
