http://www.iwsti.com/forums/attachme...6&d=1163518303 They start at around 300lb/in, more than the springs themselves! Your total spring rate once on the bump stops goes from ~215lb/in to ~515lb/in. It's all in this thread: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthre...919#post968919

| Moderator | Stretch, what do you think about pinks on these shortened bumpstops? Should I replace the springs while I have everything apart? Or should I, in the interest of science, just do the bumpstops and see what difference is made then do springs? |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (2) | Well, I'd love to see you do things in stages in the interest in science, but if it were me, I'd do it all at once out of laziness. You'll be shortening your bump stops 1-5/8 inches but lowering the car 1 inch. So, you're only going to have about 5/8" of travel before you hit the bump stops again once you're lowered. That's not much, but at least it's something. I'm not sure what you should expect- your ride quality and handling once lowered will depend upon how firm these aftermarket bump stops are and how far they'll compress. Unfortunately, short bump stops can be very firm. |

| Professional STI Driver | Unless someone comes out with a good stiff spring that doesn't lower the car, I think I am just going to cut the bump stops and get RCE lowering camber plates. |

fwiw- i have lifetime alignments from firestone for $150. i have used them twice so far, and they will set in my specs. but ALWAYS ask if they will use your specs or only set to factory.

| Professional STI Driver | I think I may do this as well. I'll probably do it when I get an ALK since I'll need an alignment anyways. Actually, I might just get RCE lowering camber plates as well....should be a nice DD setup until I get coilovers/ some replacement struts come out that are affordable! |
