IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (17) | Ohlins struts, RCE springs, Cusco camber plates, Progress sways, Kartboy endlinks, GT Spec 3 piece subframe brace set, GT Spec tie brace. Every time I am turning under heavy load, there is a huge BANG! from the left front suspension. It is REALLY freaking me out. What the hell could it be? Maybe it has something to do with the a-frame bushing mount, I don't know. Anybody else have this? CB This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Did you ever figure this one out? If not it might be good to jack it up and take a look around for impact marks, rubbed off paint etc. Pay particual attention to the area on the control arm behind the sway bar, as well as look closely at the pillow ball mount on the camber plate. Also its not a bad time to re-torque all the associated bolts. After about 1000 miles I found one bolts loose that had had been torqued to factory specs. I didn't use loctite the first time so I could find out which bolt are more susceptible to coming loose. Once a loose bolt was found both the affending bolt and the corresponding bolt from the other side was removed, blue loctite'd and re-torqued. Lastly a little clarifcation on the symptom might be useful. When turning hard does it make a single loud bump or more than one? Does it do it over large bumps or pothole? Any other times you can repro the sound? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
