| Senior STI Driver | Hi guys, I've had my STi since October, and had not noticed this. I only had my stock tires for about a month when I changed to winter tires. Now I'm back on stockers and I've noticed, since my trip to Miami, that the car drives kinda funny. What happens is when I'm driving, the car kinda pulls to the sides on any little bump it goes over. It doesn't matter how big it is and sometimes it goes right, and sometimes left. I've also noticed that on freeway driving, the car pulls to the left. I just noticed that I don't have any balancing weights on the wheels, but I thought that maybe the guys that remounted the stock tires put them in the inside of the wheel. When I had my winter tires, I never experienced this type of behavior, and I can't recall it either before that with the stock tires. I haven't hit any curbs or anything ,so I know my wheels are in good condition, but I'm worried something else might be messed up. SHould I be worried about this, or does anyone else experience this on normal driving? I drove my bro-in-law's sti to compare, and I couldn't notice this on his car. Any advice other than having the car checked at the dealer and possibly re-aligned? Thanks -d This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Spec C Club | It's called tramlining and is a characteristic of the RE070's. They follow the road, especially imperfections. Look at it this way: your tires are communicating to you. I'd recommend checking your tire pressures...I do this about once every two weeks. My winter tires did not tramline at all (Continental Extreme contacts). It seems really noticeable when you switch from winter tires back to the 070's. Also, as an FYI, my wheel weights are tucked in back of the spokes and are flat weights. |

| Senior STI Driver | Thanks for the info. Should I have it re-aligned anyway? (since it pulls to the left on freeway driving?) -d This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
