Default Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 2 Review

I wrote up a review of my RCE Tarmac 2 coilovers (w/ 350/300 springs) on my website. Installed on a 2005 STi.

http://www.hpdedriver.com/tech/tarmac2.htm

cliff notes: I love 'em! Feels like a new car.

Thanks for the write-up. I was planning on going with Ohlin struts in future but this might be a better option.... hmmmmm

Awesome! First FULL review. I just had my RCE springs installed and I love them, but down the road I will be in the market for some aftermarket struts. If I were to buy Ohlins...I figured maybe I could just buy some RCE T2 in 350/300 rate and sell my set-up now. I've been waiting for a review such as yours. Thanks! Keep all of us updated!

PS-What spring/strut combo were you using prior to T2's?

I had the 05 Tanabe GF210 springs on the stock struts. All I know is that the stock struts suck. The stock rear struts clunking is the worse. I am glad I got these coilovers.

Update:
I was tweaking the street settings on the coilovers. All four corners were full soft (counterclockwise) rebound. The rear seemed a little firm so I did .25 turn soft (counterclockwise) on compression on each coilover. Feels great now on the street!

SubyFi, just out of curiosity, what was the cost of your alignment and corner balance?
