| Junior STI Driver | Sorry for the late bump. Is it true that OEM front camber bolts will work better than aftermarket camber bolts (snugger fit, no "slippage")? My buddy works at the local subaru dealership and I'm about to have him order some OEM camber bolts. From what I've read, they'll fit in the back also? |

for the rear: 1- stock (no adjustment, but wont slip) 2- one camber bolt top hole (gained +/- 1.5 degrees, more chances of slip) 3- camber bolts in both holes (gained +/- 3 degrees, high slip chance) for the front: 1- stock (+/- 1 degree, wont slip) 2- camber bolt bottom hole (+/- 2.5 degrees, moderate slip chance: higher than rear #2) the stock camber bolt will only work in the top front strut, and after market bolts will only work properly in the three other holes (although they may work to some extent in the top front hole, but i really dont recommend it) i think avoiding camber bolts in the front is a good measure, since the front gets the most cornering forces and has the greatest chance of slipping a bolt. if you are looking for more than 2 degrees of camber up front, you should be running camber plates. if you jsut want more than what stock offers, i suggest slotting the bottom hole 1-2 mm. that will net you almost a whole degree. for the rear, one camber bolt in the top is fine. Just curious, how did that change effect your ride? Did it induce entry-mid corner oversteer? I'm considering decreasing my rear camber .5* or so myself from -1.8 and I'm running -2.8* in the front. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | |
