kinda surprised. my guess is that FHI found cyclic failure cracks in the planned aluminum prototypes and had to switch to steel at the last minute. well engineered aluminum bars usually have a degree of freedom where they bolt to the strut tops to allow some movement (rotation). whatever ... it was just an impulse buy on my part. not really expecting any noticable difference. | |

| Amateur STI Driver | i just got mine today. instalation is just plug and play, at least for the 07 models. i looked in the instructions and there was some extra stuff to do for 05 and older(like relocating the horn or something like that). on 07 all you have to do is remove the bracket that holds the A/C line, remove the 6 nuts(12mm) from the strut tops, put the bar, put back the 6 nuts, attach the A/C line to the strut bar. the bar doesn't tuch anything(no A/C line, no I/C) ![]() ![]() |
