IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2005 Trader Rating: (2) | My old post back from the dead...good thing too cause I just saw the bar at the local dealer and it looks well made. It's one piece with no joints, looks soild. The parts guy told me it fits over the A/C lines and " will reduce A/C efficiency by 60%" cause it "pinchs" the rubber line...Anyway, I would love to see some pics installed. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | ^^^I've never heard of a loss in a/c efficiency before. I've got the huge GTspec STB front and back and my a/c works fine. BTW I saw an '04 WRX with the SPT bar installed and it looks good. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (5) | I would imagine since its manufactured for Subaru with their name on it like all their other performance parts there will be no issue with installation or issues that are not addressed. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2005 Trader Rating: (2) | I sometimes wonder if the "part guy" at some of the dealers really know what they sell. You would think that SPT would not sell a part that would damage the I/C unit or A/C lines...wouldn't you? I would like to see the bar installed on a 05' STi. I like to get one. |

| Amateur STI Driver | i picked up the subaru front strut bar (2007 STI Ltd) a couple of months ago. looks just like the image in the 'subaru performance parts catalog' with one notable exception ... its not aluminum. i know what it says, but the magnet doesn't lie ... that sucker's steel. probably explains why it took longer to release ... the planned aluminum version had problems. the integrated air-conditioner line mount point functions perfectly ... there's no deformation of the lines. does it do anything? who knows. the windscreen still creaks.
