Since lowering the car seems to be one of the primary contributing factors in causing the swaybar to flip ... it seems reasonable that Subaru would refuse to cover damage resulting from the swaybar flipping when lowering springs have been installed.

^^true

but i've seen stock suspension sti breaking thier endlinks with spirit driving.
subaru should cover the breaking or bending of endinks. and they need to prove that it was caused by springs

Ah yes, and what about the people that complain about this occuring on a stock car? The end links are weak, there is no question about that.

this is so true...my endlinks were bent at 90 degree angle, on stock suspension. the whole suspension on our cars is just garbage. i can't even begin to tell you how much i despise the bilstein struts that came with 05's.

So can I run the kartboy endlinks with my stock rear swaybar to prevent any damage in the future? Or do they only work with aftermarket swaybars?

<sigh>

1. This thread is about a car that has been lowered.

2. How do weak end links have anything at all to do with flipping the bar? The order of operations is flip, bend -- not the other way around.

3. I do not believe I've ever seen someone break a stock endlink without either flipping the bar, or running a non-stock bar.

they don't flip the swaybar like parse. but it moves the sway bar to lower side of the lateral bar. there for tip of the sway bar hits the bottom of the lateral link.
because when endlinks turned into c shape, it easier for swaybar to travel around. therefore it make klucking noise when ever lateral bar is traveling up and down

and yes you can bent or break endlinks with stock suspension. they are just that weak. compare the front ones and rear. you will know what i mean. i've seen it many times with sipirited driving.

The stock endlinks did not cause your problem (at least not all by themselves). Neither did your Cobb springs (at least not all by themselves).

Your swaybar 'flipped' which is a known occurance even on totally stock STi's. Collect some evidence, make your case, and ping SoA directly if your dealer continues to be a jerk.

why are you even bothering with the dealership? go out and buy some kartboy endlinks for $100 and be done with it, there's nothing wrong with the lateral links, they just got scratched

Personally i was testing my waters with the whole warranty thing with Subaru and my local dealerships. Like i figured the whole system is a joke, and i dont play ball well when i have to jump through flaming hoops to get $50.50 worth of damaged parts replaced, when clearly its a defect.

Like mentioned before, i'll just be redoing the suspension early, and might as well not stop there and finish up my 35R setup.. TT-u here i come

Suit yourself, but if my bar flipped and damaged my aluminum lateral links I'd pound on SoA to get them replaced for free.
