Default NEED CORRECT P/N for COBB REAR SWAY for 05 STI

I am quite pissed at the moment!!! I purchased the sway bar kit P/N 913240 for the sti and the rear sway is just not fitting - its too short. I have the cobb logo to the outside fo the vehicle, the flat shaped mounting facing the rear of the car for the mounts, the holes for the bushing mounts are parallel to the car. The sway bar is too DAMN short!!! If I mount the sway on one end, its about 1 inch too short on the other. Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!! Is this even the correct part number for the sway bar kit for the 2005 STI? I purchased it through South Coast Subaru.

Thanks

OK - here are some picts. I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am - but I'm sure you could imagine. The rear of the car is towards the bottom of ALL picts - I was laying under the car with my legs stiocking out the rear.

Note how the drivers side appears to be about an inch short - even after all slack from passenger side was used up. The picts tell the story. Has anyone else seen this or heard about this?

Default Inaccurate title: I'm looking for anyone with same problem w/ rear sway

I am looking for anyone that has the same problem getting the rear cobb sway bar to fit. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, maybe the bar isn't the correct P/N, or whatever, but I followed the instructions to the "T", The flat tab (with mounting hole) to the rear of the car and the COBB logo to the outside. My pictures match the PDF installation instructions as well. All info is here:

I am not looking to bust on this product - I just want this lightweight beauty to fit. Any thoughts? Not interested in anything but constructive info. I'm under a severe time crunch here.

1sti05,
I cannot see from your pictures. Look at the mounts and make sure they are on the correct side of the car. This is just a suspicion, but you could have the left mount on the right subframe and vice versa. There should be a stamp on the mount showing right/left.
For the part numbers, can't you go to Cobb's Website to verify?

Actually, I already triple checked all those items including the P/N. Please go to the Cobb thread I have linked here above and look at the other pictures I posted. There is also a link to the Cobb installation instructions there. I installed the mounts with the flat shaped mounting tab (as opposed to the rounded mounted tab - it has a full round) facing towards the rear and the Cobb logo to the outside of the car. The pictures in the instructions show a third hole in the mount themselves that my mounts do not have - but the P/N's are as stated on Cobb's website. I purchased these through a local reputable dealer, South Coast Subaru.

When I reversed the install of the mounts, the mounting holes for the bushings were no longer parallel to the car. Finally, facing the Cobb logo towards the inside does not work. Please let me know if I missed any permutations to this equation.

Anyone know of any other bars that would fit on the cobb mounts? I needed to switch over to the cobb bar for the mounts so the cusco stiffener would work.

I took a look at the thread and pics in cobbforum link you provided. Looks to me like Cobb owes you a correct part.
