Exclamation aligment after new tires??

Hello,

My stock tires are just about on it's way out and need new replacement tires. Called the subaru dealer service mechanic to order in a new set and he tells me that "along with a new set of tires you're going to need an alignment done" is this true?

thanks in advance for your input.

You do not need a new alignment after getting new tires. If you have not had an alignment done throughout the life of the tires however, it may not be a bad idea to have one done.

i work at a dealership and also do a alignment with new tires. did the same on my car when i put my snow tires on. if you're pretty good at spotting tire wear you can get by without the alignment but keep an eye on your tires. if not i would just suggest getting an alignment done and make sure they give you a printout with your alignment numbers.

Get an alignment. There is nothing worse than buying $400-800 tires and then having them worn out in two months.

$800 bucks down the drain.

I'd say go for an alignment just because the stock one is poo. Take it to a good shop that can make out negatice camber up front.
