IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 Trader Rating: (7) | uh oh! "and the front anti lift kit helps reduce how the Subaru dives and pitches under acceleration and braking helping to add to its surefooted nature." someone better correct them, haha. as far as what that kit includes: (going by the picture) Whiteline 27-29mm Front swaybar Whiteline 22-26mm Rear swaybar Whiteline anti-lift kit AST coilovers. You can do better stateside by swapping those AST's for some KW V3's or RCE Tarmac 2's. Last edited by twiSTies; 12-19-2006 at 01:09 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (10) | Nooo! The dreaded incorrect ALK reference. Anyway, as twisties said, it's a very good kit. But substituting RCE Tarmac 2's will make it even better. And add endlinks and camber plates. The AST coilovers aren't bad, but majorly lack stateside support. The Tarmac 2's have a lot of other advantages as well, true 2 way adjustability for one. Let us know if you have any questions. - Andrew |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | <---- I don't live stateside ![]() The reason why these are interesting for me, is that they have the right type of approval(TuV) i need to get the car approved without the stock suspension. And right now there isn't to many good suspensions from out of europe that have this approval. So my options is this: - This kit - STi Spec C Type RA adjustable + Whiteline - Bilstein PSS + Whiteline And this kit is the cheapest one, since it includes some of the whiteline parts i'm going to buy anyway. And they will be mounted with adjustable tops of course. |

Ahhh, ok. ![]() Hello from the states! haha Of those three (keeping in mind your location) I would do: 1. Type 25 suspension with the AST 2. Bilstein PSS + Whiteline 3. STi In that order. You'd probably be happiest with european shock valving over the kyb offering that STi uses. I didn't know you needed to seek approval to modify your suspension over in Norway. Interesting. Well, I hope this helps. That Type-25 review is all over youtube and this forum. It sounds like a great setup.

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | The approval we have is much similar to the approval you have in the states. Cheking exhaust noise, emmissions and so on. But the government suddenly got the great idea that anything else than stock is bad The funny thing is that if you are 40+ of age, they dont care. But if you're 23(Like me), they need papers on all sort of **** Kinda like STi's with aftermarket exhaust vs. Harley's in the states |

That certainly makes the AST kit more attractive, but be sure to check what kind of support you'll get. Aren't KW Variant 3's TUV approved? I wonder if that makes our RCE Coilovers also TUV approved. Just thinking out loud. - Andrew

But i know the Type 25 have been tested by many, many car reporters. And I don't know of anyone that has found any big flaws. I'll just try, It's just money anyways ![]() Quote:

| Junior STI Driver | You won't be disappointed with the ASTs. I have them on my car and I love them. Scoobynet.uk will show just as much support for the AST coilovers, as the Racecomp, I mean, suspension forums here will show support for all of their products, i.e. KW and Tarmac 2 setups. BTW, the folks on Scoobynet.uk say that the roll bars are of the 22mm adjustable variety. |

| Professional STI Racer | The KW V3 are TUV approved. You can get the certificate from KW web site. However, Racecomp Tarmac 2 might not be, even though they are the exact same thing, simply because the company and product ID might not match up with the TUV certificate. Also, are whiteline components indiviually TUV approved? If not, he probably could not run them. However, if that whole kit is TUV approved, then he can run that kit as is. Germany is just as crazy. Modified parts are listed on the registration, or something like that. |
