Default Spring Question: Cobb 05 STi lowering springs

Hey guys,

I was just wondering, I am getting 18 by 8 1/2 inch wheels with a 15mm offset and thinking of running 225/40/18? But can I run 245/40/18 or 245/35/18, can I put those size tires on without rubbing and carrying extra load or passengers? or should I stick to the 225/40/18 that is the recommended size tire rack gives me. I need help b/c I'm ordering wheels and tires next week. All of this should be considered with my car dropped on the cobb lowering springs. Which is 2 inch front and 1.5 inch back if I remember correctly.

15 offset on an sti? you'd better double check that. i don't know for sure, but that sounds waaayyyy low for our cars.

i have the cobbs on my car and sorry to tell you this if you were looking for a 2 inch drop but it is not a 2 inch drop. after i lowered it it was 1 inch front and rear. after it settled it is at 1.4 in the front and 1.2 in the rear. it's not a huge drop. i have about 2 fingers space in the front wheel gap and 1 in the back, so you can fit 18's.

Sorry typo it is 50mm offset wheel and looking to run 235-40-18 can it be done with cobb springs and are there any rubbing issues with cargo in trunk or extra people in car. Thanks

So with cobb springs can I run a 235-40-18 without rubbing issues or having to worry about having too many passengers in the car.

Thanks will be ordering Springs and Wheel/Tires as soon as the Holidays are over it is my own 30 year Birthday Gift to myself.
