I'm thinking of trading my modded 6MT '03 350Z for an STi in the next month or so. I've yet to take a test drive, but will be doing so shortly. My interests in the STi lies strictly in a track car/weekender. My Z is not my daily driver and has been modified for braking/handling specifically for the track. I intend to think the same way about the STi should I buy one and currently run my Z out at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX.

My questions are:

1. Will the 18x8.5 5Zigen FN01R-C with a 48 offset clear the Brembos on all four corners? I want this size strictly for a "street" setup and in matte black.

2. Can I run a 245/40/18 on the STi. Will it fit?

3. Although it's hasty of me to jump to conclusions about the STi suspension considering I have not even driven one, should track nuts opt for the STi Pinks sooner rather than later?

Many thanks in advance.

1. yes
2. it is generally suggested a 225/40/18, so i'm not sure if a 245 will rub
3. yes, or an app. specific coilover or airbag setup
