I'm looking for a comparison between the two and wondering if someone had one, then the other, so we can get some realistic feedback.

If no one has switched, then can someone who has driven on the Pinks and the Eibachs please give your impressions. I am going to purchase one or the other in just a few days. Please let us know. We all want the best product.

Thanks

yea same here, i know i read that the eibachs seem to be a little more stiffer in the rear...now im wondering if the drop and the drive is more aggressive with the eibachs or the pinks.... i do like the ride feeling in the stock format

If you autocross, the Eibachs work very well. Aside from redrilled ends on my stock rear swaybar for an additional 15% or so stiffness, Eibach springs are what I just raced with today, and I am not disappointed. I thought I might need an upgraded rear bar, but I can say that at this point I would not change a thing!

Through most of the turns with light throttle, that slight front end drift was still there due to the front diff kicking in, but oversteer never felt more than a blip of the throttle away in Auto mode. The back end only stepped out when I wanted it to, but was plenty willing to do it.

I love the ride, but the balance is what has me grinning.

What i wonder is that the pinks do not drop the car as much as the Eibachs in the front, to keep the car "level". Does dropping the front more (eibach, tanabe etc) springs cause any side effects?

I'm assuming no but I'd like to hear an answer from someone else before I decide also

I had the same questions when I lowered my Audi S4. Most factory all wheel drive cars that I have looked at have the front ride height set a little higher than the rear. I doubt it is just for esthetics. I would think it has more too due with weight transfer and handling dynamics as ride height can effect both. Also front end ground clearance. I also find it odd that on most STi’s driver and passenger front ride height is different. Could it be a factory attempt at a little corner balancing? Or is the build quality that bad on the suspension. My only real question would be how much of a handling difference would the additional drop on the fronts with eibachs make on a STi? We really need some back to back comparison of the pinks and the eibachs. If I had to do it today I would go with the pinks and factories larger development budget.

exactly... levels the car... better spring rate (imo)... cant go wrong for $219 shipped. the pinks are like 257 / 21X or something and the eibachs are around 22x/23x or something... more rear stiffness = good (imo).

My primary concern with lowering is the negative effect on suspension geometry. The stock setup was designed to maximize tire grip (contact patch) in both straight line and turns. Any suspension experts out there concerned about this??

Good point, that's why I wanted to ask the question. I know it's a problem with fully independent A-arm type suspensions, not sure what the impact is on a strut type -

i just know that if i change out my springs im gonna be classified in the street modified and thats fast cars in the scca group...so i might just stay stock for a while and until i can see a drastic change from the stock setup then i may ponder about it....
