IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (8) | I'm not a huge fan of hollow because they are generally more expensive for the effect. I've not put sways on my car though, so I cant really say anything from expierence. |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | How about real race quality bars, splined ends easily changable for diffrent track conditions. Billet end pieces maybe to adapt them to the sti. Real Race quality parts |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (2) | I think the sway bar market is pretty saturated, but you could probably undercut Whiteline since the exchange rate is so lousy right now. I'd like to see 25-27mm front, 24-27mm rear. That'd bridge the gap between Whiteline's two largest bars and is probably the sweet spot for most setups. Go hollow if you can do it cheaply (this is worth maybe $20 to me, no more), but then of course they'd have to be larger diameters to get the same resistance. There is certainly room for improvement over Whiteline's designs- not in the bar, but in the bushings. There are no grease tracks (grooves) inside the bushings, which is why they dry up and squeak so easily. The grease just pushes out. Their bushings are incredibly poorly designed. (The "fix" is to use teflon tape instead of grease.) |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (4) | I kind of like the idea of the 27-29mm hollow, but I don't have aftermarket sways so I can't talk from experience. And a 24-26mm rear would be cool. And can we get them in that cool bronze color? |

Right now I'm on the edge of needing stiffer bars, and if at any point I decide to run race tires it's going to be a necessity. The Cobb bars are great for street tires, but even with 450/400 spring rates they're just not beefy enough to handle really sticky rubber. Right now my only option is to go with Whiteline 24mm bars.

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | I have the Cobb 25mm front and rear sway bar and it is a non issue as a daily driver and handles quite nicely mated with the Prodrive springs. Last edited by TheHammer; 12-01-2006 at 10:22 AM. |

The second opinion that I'd agree with is the splined ends...like the formula ford guys run. Something that is easily adjustable and very adjustable. In order to offer something that hasn't been done or compete in this product, you'll either need to undercut on price...which is not something that you've done thus far. The other is to offer something that is special. There's plenty of ways to improve the current offerings...perhaps the WL bar that doesn't tweak the endlinks so much??? You'll do something...and I'm sure it'll be real good. Good luck, Tom

IWSTI Addict since: May 2004 Trader Rating: (1) | Offer two set ups street and track only. Make the street no nonsense bolt and go no worries, ie focus on the bushings, mounts, end links, etc. Make the track well a track set up. If that is too much hassle put some adjustabiilty in the bars to switch between street and track. Hollow is over rated and I could care less. One thing is for sure make it a complete package and don't leave the 'yeah butts' in there reffering to end links, bushings, etc. If they NEED endlinks then include them, if they need to be greased often then include more then one dose, (better yet fix it so they don't need that). |

| Grassroots STI Racer | I am shocked everyone is so hard core about Sway Bars. Those are some really aggressive rates everyone is asking for. How about something for us street guys. 24-26 adjustable for front and rear. I'd also like to see something done about the price, especially the endlinks. As for as hollow or solid, I don't really care, though hollow would be preferred. |

These (24-26) are already available, so it would be redundant. The more track/race type bar is few and far between. For this reason, it would be great if Race Comp can develop a set.

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (10) | We certainly want to develop something that will be suitable for both the street and the track, but we are definitely a performance-oriented company so we don't want to compromise on-track performance in the name of creating a mild street setup. Based on what we have come up with so far, I'm confident that we will be able to provide a wide enough range of adjustability to satisfy both daily drivers and track people. Stay tuned for updates ![]() -Dan |

| Junior STI Driver | I personally think whiteline has it covered, but more power to you. They even include collars now to keep the bars from walking. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
