Default What to expect from Group-N Strut Top Mounts??

I am thinking on getting RCE springs with the Group-N Strut Top Mounts, because I heard that those top mounts make a HUGE or pretty good difference on the handling of the car. I have been searching for a good review of description of this product but nothing detailed. Please post your experiences with the Group-N Strut Top Mounts before I spend +300.00 plus installation.
Thanks

Don't waste your money on them. Front maybe rears are a total waste of money.

Might as well go straight for camber plates.

I too felt this way about rears until lately when I saw some compelling video from a UK based group-n team of howmuch flex the rears are capable of. I am and have been trying to get this video to post , because it would change your mind as fast as mine was changed.

In a nutshell, the rear despite the deisgn can flex as much as half an inch during tarmac events without the car leaving the ground. HENCE why STI introduced( RS&SP made now) the newer soild mounts.

The rears are only needed on a race car not for a daily driver. 99.9% of the time the car is driven in traffic jams, not at the local race tracks. I have several autoX's under my belt in my STI with stock rear mounts and have not ever noticed/needed a stiffer rear feel.

The problem with this is THE STOCK DEF FLEX ALOT,..............you feeling it is very relative. If you still run stock rear trailing arms and links and the lower HUB arm bushing you WONT feel it. Seeing the video of the group-n mount flexing made me realize how much the stock rear must flex with even lowering springs.

Hey Myles,

Since I did my Group N's, WRX take offs/Koni inserts and RCE springs 2 weeks ago all at once it's hard to tell what individual change contributed the most to my bobblehead elimination... it's GONE, so mission accomplished.

When I got my group N's from you and then had my OEM hats off I did the fingernail test. At least for me, I couldn't tell much difference. I assume the harder durometer of the group N's is more than skin deep?

The hats are working in combination with the stuts and springs... I just had to go on faith they were different and worth it. I could see and feel the struts and springs were different before installing them... much harder to tell the Group N's were significantly different just comparing them off the car to OEM hats.

You sure you sent me group N's ? (ha ha, I know you did, .... maybe, I think so....!!!)

It's all working that's all I know!
