I didn't say it was perfectly fine to never fix it but your car isn't going to explode from driving it that way either. You would be fine for a little bit until you had the money to replace it. I drove with a flipped bar for a few months and I didn't die and the car was fine other than a little unstable at high speeds. You'd be fine if you took it easy and didn't try and take any 90 degree turns at 60mph. I posted pics in the first page of this thread of my flipped bar so I know first hand how it handles and feels.

Anyway back to the poll.

Assuming worst case scenario and they do flip... what happens? just crappy handling and inability to drive it? or can i limp home and order a set.
Just PM me if this happens...I'll send you my stock endlinks if you spring for shipping.

I was putting on my axleback prodrive today and noticed that the third L bracket on the muffler was hitting the sway bar, thought it was an error on prodrives part, called jonathon from worldone. Then I relized my sway bar was flipped and my end links are all bent to hell. I was pissed. So called him, ordered some perrin links and added a sway just for fun, flipped the bar back and finished my install. I don't know how long it has been like that But that sucked. By the way if you haven't done business with WorldOne Performance, I would highly recommend. they always give me great prices and have top notch service. He gave me a great deal on the perrin rear kit and shipped it out today.

1. 2 - rears
2. Prodrive springs, stock sways
3. Have no idea what caused the flip
4. Have 7k on car now when I noticed it, stock muffler not damaged
5. Why?

I bought Perrin rear endlinks and swaybar a week after I bought the car. Stock stuff is fine. But after a while I did notice a nice red streak on my exhaust. That swaybar back there is banging it hard!

  1. 2 bent endlinks
  2. Completely Stock
  3. Dealer replaced the rear struts for clunking issue and when i got it back i found out a day later the sway bar was flipped.
  4. 10,000 maybe or less?
  5. Dealer caused the issue with strut replacement and refused to warranty or take responsibility for their mess up(not that they couldnt just warranty it ). I was forced to pay for new endlinks and do the work myself and my lower control arms were gouged pretty bad. I contacted SOA and they have contacted my dealers service department about the issue and continue to closely watch them due to other issues my friends and I have had there with the service.

I also thought mine was related to entering/exiting my driveway....i think the swaybar was previously flipped but i think it caused my endlink to hook on the control arm and bend around it locking the swaybar to the control arm

Default Re: Have your Rear end links bent / flipped?

I Can't beleive this is a common thing. WTF!! Anyone try getting this covered by warranty. Luckily I have JDM STI Full Pillow Ball Lateral Links and matching end links with the JDM Spec C Type RA 21mm STI rear sway bar going in this week. But damn yo!!!

1. Number of end links bent= 2
2. Springs and sway on the when it bent/flipped= Stock Sway....JDM Spec C TYPE RA 4 way adjustable struts/JDM Pinks/STI Group N tops
3. Circumstances around the bend/flip...No clue, noticed it when replacing rotors and did a search on IWSTI to see if anyone else had this
4. Miles on your car at the time of failure....Approx 35K not sure when it happened

Unless you have stock springs, struts, and sway, then Subaru would be right to deny warranty coverage. At first glance it appears most people with bent endlinks are running something in that list that is not stock.

1. Both rear endlinks
2. Hotchkis Rear Bar on Medium with Hotchkis endlinks. Stock Springs
3. No clue probably from jacking up the car.
4. not sure when it flipped.
5. IMO swaybar manufacturers should not sell an aftermarket swaybar that is not moved at least .5 inch towards the front of the car, otherwise the endlinks are at compromised angles Both decreasing swaybar effectiveness and increasing the likelihood of swaybar flippage.
