I'll hold you to that!

I originally posed that question here:
fender braces

...and only got one response. If anyone else would like to chime in, post there and keep this on topic. I'd definitely like to continue the conversation.

Hold me to it.

I'll paypal you the $95 if you don't think they've made a difference, no problem. It would be nice to see your reaction to this mod and hopefully you can figure out why they work so well. My impressions of this mod are that they don't allow as much of the energy into the cabin and instead focus it back into the firewall/windsheild hoop of the chassis. This allows the car to have a more solid feeling front end, give an increase in ride quality, and *maybe* help with turn in. It's a great, cost-effective mod in my eyes.

Looking forward to hearing what you find in regards to this. The GTspec's version look diesel.

I'll try and collect some data this weekend and write a proposal for debate. Who knows we might conclude that the stockers are fine or severely lacking. Only time will tell.

I'll toss in $20 towards this. Seriously.

In return, if Stretch keeps them, he needs to write up a huge thread about how great they are.

TriangleSpec? . The TiC design is much more cost effective, IMO.

The only thing that concerns me is the bend in the GT spec one. It does have the support the the TIC, but I wonder if there is any benefit from the other bar. My friend is a automotive engineer and i see him this week. So we will try to get a theory by monday.

Sounds good. Remember that the GTSpec one is literally twice the price. Seems more reasonable for a "small" mod like this.

Kartboy Endlinks are pretty stout and you'll not have any problems with them. I've got the TiC fender braces - it does make a difference over the stock braces. With the stock ones, I can twist them a bit with my hands. Not so with the TiC.

Fine, fine. But it'll have to wait until Spring, I've already put winter tires on my car to close the modifying season. Testing a handling product on winter tires is like holding your nose during a taste test.

But they're not going to twist on the car, that's completely irrelevant. The only thing they need do is resist stretching. Can you stretch the stock parts?
