better for what? What do you use the car for?

no one is going to be able to comment on the Tein Mono, as they are too new

Generally I'd say KW, but you didn't specify what you wanted the coilover to be better at, so there really isn't a correct answer.

Most coilovers are going to make noise. Don't buy coilovers to do away with noises or think that they wont develope noise. If your car is for the street I would go KW. The intervals between rebuilds on the KW's are much longer than the cuscos or teins.

I have the Tein Flex w/ EDFC which enables me to be able to soften or stiffen the ride depending on what i am doing. Soft when the girl is in the car then switch to stiff for track use.

it looks like a relatively simple install. the hardest part of the edfc install is going to be running the wires + mounting the controller.

OP: it seems that german c/o's provide a softer, more compliant ride and japanese c/o's are very stiff for the most part. that should be your main factor in picking a c/o. the reason you're ditching your zeals will not be fixed by buying one of these setups because those noises are present in most setups.

two things to check: preload on your springs, and to make sure everything is tight--from the strut tops on down to the base of the c/o's.

take a look at your lower control arms in the front to see if they are level or pointing up kinda like this \_/ (you get the idea, not quite that severe). they should be level or pointing down just a little, and your sway bar should not be so close to anything that it will knock against the control arms or subframe.

you can also get rubber pads to quiet the springs.

if you really want to ditch your suspension for something quieter, just get a spring/strut/strut top setup and do away with the coilovers completely.

Anything with a pillowball can develop noise over time - nothing you can really do about that.

I would agree the KW sound like the best option for you given your choices listed. Our customers have had rave reviews about them
