KW V3's are just phenomenal period... I daily drove on these and tracked them on the weekends. Very comfortable ride on the street, yet they perform great on the track. Probably the best bang for the buck at that price range.

Lowering springs that don't slam the car and cutting or replacing the stock front bumpstops.

LOWERING CAMBER PLATES!!! Plates like the RCE lowering plates not only drop the car about half an inch, but they also swap droop travel for desperately needed bump travel. Best of both worlds.

That because those are the products I have on my Car. I promote what I use. I won't write about things I don't know.

The rears are progressive, but after speaking with KW direct they assured me they are valved with a range in mind and for a little bit more I can purchase a different mount for a fixed rate spring and the rates I'm looking for. Plus, with Hypercoil and Swift, there are a ton of options to hit my "ideal" spring rate.

Haven't seen a post yet on your impressions after install? looking forward to reading your opinion!

funny you should quote him.

I actually bought them from him before he sold his car, now I recently sold them to a friend down here.

he said he was happy with them.

just installed (well, three weeks ago) the bilstein ps19 setup with pillow ball fronts. also installed steering rack bushing.

if the car was excellent before. well, now, holy ****!

it's not sprung like a race car (nor damped like it) and you certainly feel the road; but, it's just fabulous in corners and the straight line ride is so much more connected and precise. i replaced the Gr N struts and prodrive springs i had with these. i thought that those were good. compared to stock, they were light years better. these keep the trend. the uprated spring rate with the appropriate damping is virtually perfect in my opinion.

I have a set of HKS Hipermax RS which I installed on my 04 STi in October. At first they were great. But, over the last couple of months I have started to notice a bouncier ride overall and a clunking sound from the rears when coming in and out of my apt. parking lot. Is this normal? As this is my first set of coilovers I am uneducated in the lifespan of coilovers and how they behave when they are blown. They are currently set at 10 clicks from the softest setting on the front and 15 clicks from soft in the rear. I would ask HKS but they apparently are not concerned about customer service as they have yet to answer a phone call or e-mail.

Race coilovers (like the HKS) generally last between 18 and 24 months between rebuilds when driven on the street.
