| Amateur STI Driver | Hey all, got a question: 04 sti, just installed springs, FTS brace and a perrin adjustable rear sway bar. All is good, but I was noticing a clunking in the rear of the car. Checkin it out revealed that the bar was hitting the stock muffler. the contact is slight, but the sound is annoying as hell and obviously not ideal. Any suggestions on how to fix? | Amateur STI Driver | ouch, but yeah, was thinkin the bfh idea. However, if I was to switch mufflers, which would I pick that I know would clear it? additionally, why would perrin design an sti-speciifc bar that would hit the muffler? |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | This is probably obvious, but it wasn't to me when I installed my Hotchkis sway - the rear bar needs to be rotated so that the ends are vertical. In my case, that allowed the bar to clear the muffler. You've probably done this, but just in case... |

| S204 Racer | update:: got 'rid' of the rattles:: first effort:: hard sti hangers (versus the gummy bear oem ones)..... made the muffler hang tight, and no chance to contact the perrin parts... first results:: clunkity-clunk..... still secound effort:: REread the install instructions for the placement of the perrin custom spacers.... (they were NOT installedd in the correct order, and caused a deal of binding/rubbing of the endlink and barend/mount) secound results:: NO MORE clunk... (other than the typical noises, i mean).... the product now works even better (no doubt), and i am very content.... still wanna get a front sway, to help offset, but am wanting to brand-match this (and the front endlinks) This ad is not endorsed by this member.
