so friday i had my TH3 mounted and balanced (to much work to find a good place that wont destroy them.. cuz i did on sunday)

so they did a great job mounting and.. i would assume on the weighting... seemed to use a lot.. but.. whatever... sat. i go out and move my car... my mom finds almost 2oz of weights laying there... WTF!!

I asked the guy about 10 times how well they would hold up.. he told me ohhh they are great you wont have ANY problems...
1 DAY!!

so.. is there a place i can buy my own sticky weights.. the ones they used seem to have REALLY cheap 2 sided tape..
I know a guy that should be able to do this for me.. but would like some weights that will stick... they are TH3's so i cant even use clip-ons..

looking for some suggestions or advice

Default oops-almost killed myself

People have had the brake caliper hit the weights if they're mounted too close.

Default Braille, installed!

As suggested above, I think you just need to clean the wheels and put the weights far enough inboard that they clear the calipers.

In the past I have put a strip of duct tape over the weights on some of my wheels as a backup... although I can understand how you might not want to do this if you're fashion-conscious.

i put on sticky weights on the inside of all four wheels this weekend when i put on new tires, i checked with the car in the air and i had about 1/8 inch clearance, which i though would be ok, while i hade the tires and weels off i pressure washed the backside of the wheels so they were clean. so i took a guy looking into buying a sti for a very agressive ride and when i got back the brakes did hit the weights and took them clean off. now i have been using the weights for 2 years with no problems even on dirty rims, so it was the caliper that cause it. now they can put the sticky weight in on the outer lip inbetween the spokes but it will be easy to see. i just cant stand pound on weights. i saw another link on the site that talks about the wheel color, were we can get the bbs wheel paints in spray cans, i may just buy a can of gold paint and paint the weights and put them on the
outer lip of the rim. i have done this with gunmetal rims and you cant see the weights.
