His question was not answered. Yes, majority of the 06s came with lliquid mounts. You can get the 05 plates from the dealership. Link below, 4th picture down with the red circle over it is the plate that you need. Hope that helps.

Broke motor mount on my 06! Its plastic!

The plate is what attaches the mount to the motor.

Part Numbers:
LH - 41031AA281
RH - 41031AA290

your mounts will look like this if they are plastic: Broke motor mount on my 06! Its plastic!

The best way to tell would be to get under your car and look at the mounting plates. Some time in MY2006, they went back to the old plates and mounts.

here is what the plates will look like mounted on the engine if they are metal. The metal plate is the piece in the upper right hand side with the blue witness mark on it:

Do you have them? There are plenty of members here who have them and have no complaints, myself included.

My 06 was lucky enough to have the metal plates already. I have both the Motor and Transmission mounts and I love em!

DCH are you running the cusco mounts? Are the really that harsh? I dont think ill mind a slight vibration at idle, im just looking to tighten the car up a little bit. From what i have read most who have them like them.

if you don't have a real tolerance for nvh, don't do the cuscos.

Yes I am running them.

"Slight vibration" would be considered an understatement for most people. Then again, I have every TiC upgraded bushing to stiffen up and support my ride.

If there are any shops that tune or work on subarus in your are I would contact them for used motor mount plates; they'll probably be cheaper than from the dealer (I think they're $25-30 each new). The shop that installed my cusco mounts had some laying around and just gave them to me.

cusco engine mounts are not harsh at all. Don't let people talk you out of them. It's the tranny mount that makes things noisy.

are you going to pay for the mounts if he doesn't like them? just give people the information and let them decide for themselves. that doesn't quite constitute trying talking someone out of them.

they only difference i noticed is you FEEL the car way more with the cusco mounts.
you feel the vibrations etc of everything and it's so sweet...i sat in a stock sti and started it...i could barely tell if the car was on and what was going on.

the cusco mounts are amazing.
