Default Suggestions on splash guard for new subframe

so i cant continue on the subframe till i get more metal, only needed about 5ft more to finish and i of course run out. so in the meantime im thinking of ideas for a splashguard.

Im not sure if i just want to make it the original size of the stock splash guard or extend it forward so it mounts to the holes in the front bumper. also i was thinking of using some flat piano hinges from mcmastercarr to have access to the oil filter and drain plug, and make them big enough to where you can actually use them and not need to have the arm and hand the size of a small child.

i also thought it might be a little different to use a clear polycarbonate sheet for a splashguard instead of metal.

im just running through ideas and was wondering if anyone had suggestions

TIA

kelly
