Lightbulb 2004 STi - Stock sway bar sizes? And upgrade advice please...

Ive done a ton of searching but I havent found a conclusive answer....is it 20mm for front and rear stock sway bars?

Please advise, thanks!

EDIT:

Thanks - The reason for this post was to help determine what size bars to get and retain a neutral feeling. My only mods are Sumitomo HTR Z III tires (great bang for the buck summer tire), JDM pink springs and alignment (0 toe and 1 degree negative camber up front).

I like the way the car feels but I would like to get rid of some of the body roll - while maintaining a nuetral and comfy feel. Car sees no track and no autox, just the occasional spirited driving on the weekends.

I was thinking of 2 options -

A - 22mm sway bars for the front and rear
B - 24mm front bar and 22mm rear

Which one of those options would you guys recommend?

How would option A feel in comparison to option B?

20 and 20, but some supposedly came with 19 rears. As for the build dates on when that happened I have no idea.

22 front and rear feels really good, but 24 front and rear feels brilliant. You've got springs that'll take it in 99.5% of the stuff you see so you should be good there.

I will also say this - I have a front and rear set of the new RCE bars coming very soon for us to test. I will be throwing those on with the soft settings and giving them a shake down. The math is good on them for sticky tires so I expect they will feel great.

read this....

Siegel Racing / TopSpeed Dissertation on Suspension

Just kidding...
but basically it's a long analysis of what suspension mods should be done. In it the guy from Siegel Racing says, "27mm front and 24 mm rear will cut your total roll angle (at the same cornering force) in *HALF.* You will IMMEDIATELY notice the improvement. The cars will all pull between 0.9 and 1.0 G's laterally. Even mildly cornering, at say 0.5-0.6 G's, the reduced roll rate, and resulting improvement in handling limit and confidence are HUGELY apparent."

so i would say go with 27mm front/ 24mm rear...

If you want to reduce understeer, would you go bigger in back?

See my sig for suspension set up and sways. I think I have the most nuetral handling DD STi out there. I could not be happier. It worked great for autocross too, but after recent back surgery the car can handle hard corners more than me now!
