Default JDM Pink Springs vs. RCE Black Spring

I tried searching but could not find a specific thread discussing the handling differences between the 2 different brands. I have a new set of pinks and some prodrive bumpstops that have not yet been installed. I am now thinking of selling the pinks in favor of the RCE Blacks. Which ever spring I decide on I will also add the RCE lowering camber plates. Which springs do you think will provide the best handling and ride comfort? Has anyone had both sets of springs and can explain the differences in handling on the street vs the track?

From my understanding, pinks for comfort, RCE blacks for performance. Not to say that the pinks will not perform or the RCEs are not comfortable, but given this comparison, those are their strengths.

Look at nandanrp's journal for pictures of a car on pinks + RCE lowering plates. Be aware that this may make it more difficult to fit wider wheels and tires on your car down the road.

I don't know of anyone offhand who has RCE Blacks and lowering camber plates, but there are surely some around. I think a bit more searching would net you a satisfactory answer.

This exact topic has been in discussion over the last few weeks. There's even a pic of the Blacks with lowering camber plates in this thread.

i went from jdm pinks to rce yellows. the jdm pinks are the springs our cars should have come with from the factory. more comfortable than the stock springs even though they're stiffer, far less body roll, and a nice drop even though people still complain about 'saggy' butt.

that being said, i really liked the jdm pinks. the rce yellows are stiffer but i haven't noticed much difference in ride comfort on a daily basis. the only other springs i would look at now are the rce blacks. the pinks handled well during the couple autox's i went to but there was still a good amount of body roll and diving under hard braking. i have yet to take my car to an autox since installing the yellows but i can tell you that i'm really excited.

if you mostly do daily driving, i would recommend the jdm pinks. if you're going to autox/track and be competitive, go with the yellows or blacks from rce.

can you buy jdm pinks that do not lower the car? i have an 07 sti and the ride is a bit harsh but i dont really want to lower the car. its low enough for my taste.
