Default Thinking of removing WL RSB

My Whiteline RSB is starting to make the clunk sound that comes from the bar "walking" again (3rd time already) so im thinking if it is going to be this high-maintenance, im just going to put the stocker back on. It is the 24-26 adjustable RSB.

I know i'll feel a difference in handling when I put the stocker back on but is it going to be horribly drastic? Meaning, am I going to hate my car afterwards? I have a 27-29 FSB that has been problem free for 1.5 years now.

Im just sick of having to put the car on ramps, unbolt everything, relube the bushings, tighten everything just to have to do it again in 3 months.

Any input is appreciated.

oh, and as a caveat to this, I went to Home Depot and purchased a hose with hose clamps to put on the bar to help keep it from walking so please don't include that idea.

Are you greasing the bushings or wrapping the bar with teflon tape?

Same question. My perrin endlinks made tons of popping noises with the WL 24mm rsb. Once I changed rear endlinks to kartboy, no more noises yet. Kartbaoy dogbone endlinks.

op has kbs from hitting up his journal.

what about WL's lateral lock kit? They made them just for this situation.

What kind of lube are you using?

Yes, the handling difference is large.

Kartboy endlinks only pivot on one axis, so they prevent the sway bar from walking. I'm surprised hose clamps didn't fix your problem, though. Since they didn't, why do you think the bar walking is the problem? Make sure you are using water-resistant grease. I recommend Prothane.

I wonder if this is the problem I'm having. Mine sounds like the strut clunk but my struts have been replaced and only have maybe 5000 miles on them. I'm going to disconnect the RSB in the next couple days and drive around and see if that's making the noise.

I did grease the bushings with Mobil Lithium grease (if I remember correctly). I purchased what I was told to purchase when I bought the bar, that's what I remember. The endlinks didn't get greased this time, just the bushings. I know it is water resistant though.

I tried the tape thing and I had the same problem.

i know it is walking because it is the same problem i've been fixing since the install. with the tape, it walked and I know this by seeing how the tape bunched up on the sides and was pretty much gone under the bushing.

the hose clamps seemed like they worked for some time now but I guess I was wrong.

i put the car up on ramps today and got under the car and started tightening the endlinks before trying anything else. well, I also tightened the hose clamps too.

The sound is gone for now, but I can only imagine that it will soon come back. Would anyone recommend different rear endlinks?

How often should you grease WL swaybars? I have then and have started to get a clunk in the front that I can feel through the break/gas pedel.

I had it before when I first installed only to figure out one of my nut's wasn't tight enough to the frame brackets/clamps.

However, last night I got under the car and checked all of the nuts and they were all tight...

The sound only happens when I hit the brakes hard....

But I haven't greased them since my install last summer....

Thanks and sorry to steal your thread!

90% of clunking swaybars I personally have seen has been from endlinks that are just barely not tight enough.
