Draco....I am runnng the Ohlins FP, Max-C Plates, Group N Rear TH, ALK, Roll centre adjust kit, WL 24mm adj F&R....now you have me thinking of by-passing the brake rotor upgrade...just going with pads and converting the rest of my suspension.....lol

Love the Ohlins and wow what a difference the ALK made.....

Thanks for the tutorials.

You'll really like the Bushings. And they aren't that expensive, you can still get that rotor upgrade. Though as far as brakes go, the stock rotors are really good. I'd want slotted rotors, but only because of the increased water clearing. Otherwise, the stock blanks are fine.

Well, I guess if you can corner faster, you can brake less.

I'll be interested to see what he has to say after this Saturday. That'll be a REAL test of the car.

I'm very interested in how you like the Ohlins suspension; I'm thinking about doing that myself.

I've ridden in his car a couple of times since then. The Ohlins dampers are a HUGE improvement over stock. They're also definitely better than my current dampers, Tokico D-Specs. However, I don't think they're 4x as good yet they cost 4x as much. I would say the Ohlins are a little more than twice as good as the D-Specs, but since when in motorsports was price ever linear to performance?

Mostly, I'm interested to see what he has to say in the section he's writing now.

The ALK/RCA section is done as far as I can for now. Next up is the Strut/Spring/Plate section.

While this is definitely arguing semantics, I don't think it's correct to say that the suspension geometry has been changed to "pro-lift". Whiteline has said that the ALK simply removes all the anti- properties of the front end, leaving it neutral.

Again, nit-picking here. As you first lower the car from stock, the rate of Roll Center vs Cg movement is smaller than that. As increase the lowering, the Roll Center starts moving faster and faster compared to the Cg. It'll end up dropping more than 3x as fast as the Cg.

According to Whiteline's paper on the ALK, the ANti-Dive goes from 22% Anti-Dive to 0%, however the Anti-Lift goes from 6.5% to -6.1% which they state is "Pro-Lift".

True, but 2.5+ times is a good rule of thumb.
