Default struts with cobb springs?

Hey guys,

I have an 04 STi with about 30,000 miles on it. I just ordered a set of Cobb sport springs which should be coming in the mail in the next week.

However, I've noticed a little bit of strut clunk in the rear over the past couple weeks. I think I'm going to throw in some new struts at the same time as the springs to save time.

So my question to you all is: What struts will be good with my Cobb springs? I'd rather not have anything that is going to place my car any lower than the cobb springs already lower it... and I'm also looking to go kind of budget (wasn't planning on buying new struts). That being said, I'm looking for a solid set of struts that will perform well with the Cobb springs and last a while overall!

Thanks for the suggestions.

If you can get your stock struts replaced under warranty (not sure your mileage), do that. I had all four replaced for the clunk and then installed springs from COBB. Its been fun for 25K. The springs are totally sagging now though. So, coilovers will be installed soon.
Have fun!

(I believe Tokico makes an affordable replacement strut for our cars. I may be totally wrong.)

I don't think it's covered under warranty but maybe it is? What is the standard warranty? It's an 04 with 30k miles.

Maybe check out some KYB AGX struts. They're a good aftermarket strut.

Search around here and on nasioc for reviews on the Cobb springs. YOu may be surprised.

I just did an install for someone last week who was replacing a set of Cobb springs due to them being completely rusted.
