Default EDFC big problems

I was reading everything about EDFC in the forum and I couldnt find a similar problem with the EDFC in other cars.

Sometimes when I am driving the car, the EDFC begins to blink the dash showing an error on rear side. I turn it off and then turn it on again and the problem is fixed for a while.
some other times the front wire disconnect in the plug part. Then I noticed that the wires is pulled and I think is because the EDFC motor turn itself pulling the wire.
Why the EDFC motor turn itself and pull the wire? how can I adjust the EDFC in order to avoid it turning itself.

How do I know if when I move the EDFC parameters the EDFC motor is doing good on the coilovers

Tein makes a bracket to stop the motor from spinning. You can buy them separately.

there is no way I can use a strut kit in my 05 usdm sti.
The monoflex are inverted so there is no strut kit for inverted vehicles according to Tein.

I was thinking how can I secure the EDFC motor and maybe I can use some kind of hard silicone or plastic to avoid spinning

Not sure what is going on now. The whole black box is spinning? That doesn't sound right. Should just be the screw in the middle spinning.

the whole black box. Is the only reason why so many times the wire in the front shocks turns around the black box

hmmm...thats not good. Maybe fab some sort of L bracket around the outside of the box that bolts down to the frame around the strut top?

Just a thought...

you may have a defective motor if the whole box is spinning and that is not good. have a buddy sit in the car and adjust the settings on the edfc while you are holding down the motor that is causing it. if the middle screw spins while you are holding the box then you might be ok. you will just have to fab up some kind of bracket. Call up tein usa if they have any suggestions 562-861-9161

That's what I'm thinking. The box should be tightened on the top of the coilover using some loc tite. If it's spinning it might just be loose or the whole motor is shot.

monoflex are inverted coilovers. So it is really difficult to hand adjust the black box because it is not on top like normal coilovers. Thats why is so difficult to touch and even see it.
The installation owners manual describe how to adjust these black boxes and tein warn that we have to adjust with hand, not using any tool. But for now I adjust the black boxes with a wrench firmly. Iam gonna try tomorrow if the problem persist.

I think I found the solution so Iam gonna tell you step by step what I did:

1. The EDFC mannual says that you have to put the 4 motors just by hand. Dont do that, do it with stilson or something similar to adjust hard the motors to the shock
2. Take the 4 rims off and look the motor line to the connector and try to install them in a position that you think when the shocks work it wont pull enought to disconnect in the front.
3. Try to give enought line in the back so when the shocks work there is no way that the cable is being pull.
4. Check is the cable is ok or is damaged. Sometimes when it is damaged the EDFC cant read well the sign.

I hope I give you some help. Sorry if my english isnt good. I am not good in english
